The Great Leonardo DeCaprio Curse
Leonardo Dicapio has been gipped by the Academy more times than you think. Not just the fact the man hasn't one an Oscar yet. But the fact he was nominated for significantly fewer roles for Oscars than Golden Globes. He has only been nominated for 4 Oscars. FOUR! But Leo has racked up 11 Golden Globes Nominations And after his current win for The Revenant this month he managed to win three overall. He wasn't even nominated for Titanic you guys.
Not Gangs of New York. Not for J. Edgar. (The bad makeup was not his fault) Not Revolutionary Road. Not The Departed. (Which one best picture)
Not for Catch Me if You Can.
Not for Inception.
Not for Shutter Island.
Not even for supporting actor in Django Unchained. And depending on how things go this Awards season his streak will hopefully increase. People are seeing his new movie. If only to see why Fox had to release a statement regarding a certain beastiality related rumor about his latest film. They should just give him one at this point. It took him almost getting raped by a bear to win MAYBE an Oscar.
